Very soft, smooth fabric. Well constructed. It isn't really rigid, the sides are not stiff but it stands up when empty, holds a lot and looks nice. It arrived carefully wrapped and packaged. I'm quite happy with it.

I bought this to put on the floor in my guest bathroom closet for used towels. It has worked like a charm! It fits perfectly in the space, and recently held up to 2 adults and 3 kids using that bathroom who were visiting. It made it easy to get the dirty towels from the bathroom into the laundry room - I didn't have to get them out of the tub, off the floor, etc.. It has held its shape well and is easy to carry once you find the handle holes (mine weren't clearly visible but are now that I have used them). The little leather patch adds a touch of sophistication and makes the basket look high end. Overall it's great!
